What I'm Doing Now
(This is a now page, and if you have your own site, you should make one, too.)
Updated March 23rd, 2026 sitting in my office at my new apartment.
Life
Life is currently changing rapidly. I started a new job and got married in February, just moved into a new apartment this month and will have the big wedding party new month.
Life is busy, but life is good!
Programming
While SFML 3.1 is long overdue, it didn't feel right to not merge some major new network features, that way SFML 3.1 doesn't just provide massive improvements in text rendering and Unicode handling, but lots of new networking features! 🥳
With all the other things going on IRL, I wasn't able to progress much with HTML-Renderer or FontResolver, but it's my goal to have this released soon.
Writing
My new "homelab" will certainly produce a new post, but I first have to find the time to set it up and then write about it.
Currently writing is taking a backseat as everything else gets higher priority.
Some posts I recently published:
- Disable Access Policy for Cloudflare Preview Pages
- Material for MkDocs Is No More! Long Live Zensical!
- Quest for Permissively Licensed PDF Library in C#
- Remove GitHub’s “Ghost” Notifications
- .NET Day Switzerland 2024
- ... (more)
Music
A big hobby of mine is to play my viola, preferably in a orchestra setting.
With the wedding party around the corner and plans to travel for a while, I'm pausing my engagement with the TiFiCo Sinfonie Orchester, but hope to be back on track for the Winter session! 🎻
Work
End of last year I quit my position at Zühlke Engineering AG and started a new job mid of February at Digitec Galaxus AG.
The change has been very welcome and I'm very happy to be part of the DG family.
